This piece was inspired by freediving underwater and my fascination with exploring kelp forests. This piece blends those real experiences with a more imagined world. I wanted to capture the shifting light between the kelp, movement, depth, and the feeling of being completely immersed beneath the surface.

Inspired by a photograph I took while hiking above Blue Lakes on the way toward Mt. Sneffels in Colorado. I wanted to capture the still quiet and the moment early light began reaching the mountains while the basin below still held onto the cooler colors of night.
